Active exchange programmes are undertaken with five friendship towns: Hamina or Fredrikshamn in Finland, Röros in Norway, Vordingborg in Denmark, Gütersloh in Nordrhein-Westfalen in Germany, and Grudziadz in Poland. Exchange is carried out within several areas, such as sports, culture, tourism, education and rescue services.
