Dalarnas museum

In central Falun, right next to the Falun River, is the Dalarna Museum. The museum represents the Dalarna County and it is a place for knowledge, with cultural history as a special branch.

"A medieval castle with its very own moat in the middle of Falun." This is how the architect described the building from 1962 that houses the Dalarna Museum. Already in the entrance hall, you are met by the diversity Dalarna offers. Falun's street life outside the window is in deep contrast to the fabric that represents Fulufjället's mossy stream in northern Dalarna.
