Welcome to Swedish for immigrants, SFI

Learning the Swedish language is important when you are new in Sweden. At SFI, swedish for immigrants, you get to learn how to read, write, hear and speak swedish to cope with your everyday life. You learn about the Swedish society and prepare yourself for your future working life.

Our SFI is always combined with other activities. It can be:

  • Social orientation, for those who are completely new in Sweden
  • Pre-vocational education
  • Primary school courses, for example mathematics
  • More information about pre-vocational education with integrated SFI

The goal with the pre-vocational education with integrated SFI is to learn the Swedish language combined with practical elements and knowledge about the Swedish labour market. Pre-vocational education with integrated SFI is not a vocational education that leads to work. After SFI, you have the opportunity to apply for one of our vocational educations or other courses. We have different orientations to choose from in our pre-vocational education. You choose the orientation that you find most interesting to learn more about. To see what different possibilities there are towards a working life in Sweden makes it easier for you to make your own, well thought out, decisions about your future.

Go to application SFI - digital application site Länk till annan webbplats, öppnas i nytt fönster.
You can change the language on the application site to english by pressing "Language" in the top right corner.
